Answer #1

Product / Service Description

I've selected Robinhood. Robinhood is a brokerage free trading platform that allows users to trade and invest in stocks, index funds, options, gold and cryptocurrency, without charging them brokerage or commission. The trading platform has over 6 million users. Robin hood monetizes its platform by charging large market makers commission, membership fees, and loans. Robinhood raised $ 912 Million from investors and is valued at $ 7.6 Billion.

The trading platform is currently available in the United States but isn't available in Canada. In order to move the business to the Canadian market, we'll need to take the market cap of Canadian Exchange into account along with the number of listed companies, trading volume, number of retail traders, brokerages in order to come with a TAM or a total addressable market size.

After conducting a thorough analysis here's my conclusion , while the Canadian stock market's market capitalization is far lower than that of the United States, the number of active investors and traders in Canada are far lower than the United States and the competition in commission-free brokerage is also far less competitive than the United States, which makes Canada an lucrative expansion opportunity for Robinhood.
