LECTURE 13
1)Where does the activation of complement system take place?
2)What molecule is responsible for the activation of complement system?
3) How is the bacterial cell going to be destroyed eventually?
Complement system is composed of 20 plasma protein which are
very important for innate immunity the word complement is used
because it enhance or helps our immune system.
Complement system is activated by mainly three process.
1 antigen antibody interaction which is also known as classical
pathway.
2. By bacterial endotoxin which is also known as the alternative
pathway.
3. Lectin pathway which comes in effect due to protein which is
manose binding lactin.
Activation of compliment system takes place on surface of
pathogens.

1. Where specifically within the cell does the citric acid cycle take place?__________________________________ 2. How many carbons from the original glucose molecule enter each round of the citric acid cycle?________ 3. How many carbons exit out of the citric acid cycle during each round, as a waste product?_________ Where did the carbons in this waste product originally come from (what molecule)? 4. The role of NAD+ in the citric acid cycle is the same as in glycolysis; namely, to taxi...

calvin cycle
1. Where does the Calvin cycle take place? 2. Before the Calvin cycle begins, where is the energy stored? 4. What are the inputs to the Calvin cycle? Where do they come from? 5. Circle the letter of each statement that is true about the Calvin cycle. Correct the false statements. a. The main products of the Calvin cycle are six carbon dioxide molecules. b. Carbon dioxide molecules enter the Calvin cycle from the atmosphere....
1)Where do the rRNA and ribosomal proteins synthesis take place, what processes made them and where do the subunits get assembled? Organize this information into a flow chart or CONCEPT MAP. (Draw a CONCEPT MAP). 2)How will you design drugs that would easily go through the cell membrane, and some that will not easily enter through the cell membrane?
related to insulin signaling
This is related to insulir cell signaling 1) Describe the steps between the binding of an insulin molecule at the surface and the activation of the effector PI3K of the target cell 2) How does the action of the insulin receptor differ from other ligands that act by means of receptor tyrosine kinases? 3) What is the relationship between type 2 diabetes and insulin production? How is it that a drug that increases insulin sensitivity might...

1. The virus hijacks the cell, and RNA polymerases produce the complement to the positive stranded RNA genome. We can call these strands negative strands, and they then serve as templates for RNA polymerases to produce their complement. How does the sequence of these strands, the complement to the negative strands, compare with the original viral genome? 2-1. RNA polymerases lack proofreading ability. Define proofreading ability and describe its importance in replication of DNA genomes. a. Why is this a...
