At the end of a synthesis, the nanoparticles are dispersed in a solution that is 95% water and 5% tetrahydrofuran (THF). The solution also contains a small amount of free drug molecules (MW 450; ~1 uM). What separation processes(es) could be used to purify the nanoparticles? The end product should just be nanoparticles in water. For full credit, please diagram out the process(es), the flow of impurities and products, and any mass separating agents used. Hint: These nanoparticles are sensitive to high temperatures and should not be heated above 37oC.

You may use a simple purification/separation method with two phase solvent system, i.e, water:organic solvent(THF). If your particles are organic soluble, it will be collective at the solvent phase, if not, vice versa.

Or else,

Try to use the centrifugation machine to set the rpm and time , you will get the nanoparticles at the bottom of the liquids and discard the liquids
