[15 marks]
(b) RAID 5 system is the suitable option for BSKL
The basic RAID 0 and RAID 1 gives the basic operations of RAID. But they provided less data space availability and the disks are prone to failure, thus some of the disk can become fail and it will affect whole the company, since it may results in the loss of critical data of the company. The BSKL Company has to keep the critical share related information even if some of the contents will lost will results in big problems, thus low level RAID systems are not a suitable option.
The RAID 5 will be the ideal option in this case, since it can be implemented in limited budget. The working of BSKL demands a high data demands thus the high data demands can be satisfied with low budget if opted the RAID 5 system. The individual disk failure is not a problem with RAID 5 systems, thus the standalone disk failures can be avoided. The centralized system of BSKL is also get benefits when using the RAID 5 systems. The higher RAID system will not be cost effective.
Thus RAID 5 is the best option for BSKL.
