There is a difference in flow rate due to variations in soil properties.Like if the soil is having more number of voids then it would be more permiable and seepage loss would be more due to which flow rate would be less.

There may be difference in flow rates due to difference in soil textures. Amount of silt, clay define the texture of class.If soil is more of coarse type infiltration would take place and there will be low flow rate.

Moisture content of soil also plays a significant role in flow rate
