A therapist play a prominent part whenevr the existential therapy is being applied in the patient's relief. His role and function can be seen as follows :-

  • Another important role includes that, therapist makes the client knows about the fact that, stress and tension is part one's life, and it comes to person naturally when comes across to the negative situation, but through this therapy, therapist functions and makes the client learn about how to deal with such stressful condition, that it may not impact our day to day life.

  • One prime important role the therapist have in such therapy is to help the client to accept their own self, and thereby to become better version for their own future self.

FOR EXAMPLE

When a client who is having an talent of singing, but is having extreme low self confidence, because of his social anxiety,is being provided with the Existential therapy, then the therapist helps the client,to realize, him about his talent, which will eventually generate a sense of self confidence in him.For doing this, the therapist will first of all deal with his anxiety, and will make the client realize,it is common to have it,but loosing chance to showcase their talent becaause of it,is not correct. Thus through, this way existential therapy with the role and function of therapist will deal with the problem of client.
