Super fine 40-gauge copper wire has a diameter of only

0.080mm and weighs only 44.5/gkm. Suppose a spool of 40-gauge wire weighs 529.g less after some wire is pulled off to wind a magnet. How could you calculate how much wire was used? Set the math up. But don't do any of it. Just leave your answer as a math expression. Also, be sure your answer includes all the correct unit symbols.

Answer #1

given

diameter of copper wire is 0.080 mm

weight is 44.5 g/km

Weight lost after pulled off to wind a magnet is 529 g

now

44.5 g / Km

which means 44.5 grams per kilometre

but

we want length of wire used for 529 g

44.5 g ==> 1 kilometre

529 g ==> (529 g * 1 km/44.5 g)
