1)When working as a team, what are the general expectations for all members of the team?
2)What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and collaborating appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team member is not contributing and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts between team members?
3)What do you, as a team, agree will make this team experience different from past team experiences?
Ans.1. Working as a team means there is more than one member. It is very important while working as a team
1. There has to proper communication between the group members.
2. The goal of the work or event has to be clear to each participant.
3. Dedication by each member.
4. Trust among the members.
5. Mutual respect between the members.
6. One should not have the feeling of being overburdened,
As a team, the selection should be done in an unbiased manner, the ability of the candidate has to be screened before admitting as a team member because working as a team requires one to be ego-free and respect the views of the others as well.
2. Before selecting a team I would refer to screen the ability of the candidate, his critical thinking and dedication to the job. Working as a team member requires one to be honest with his part of the job because teamwork job is interrelated. If one is slow and not honest to his part of the job the others will be directly affected.
If the members are not contributing properly and are not fair to their part of the job, it shows that they have less dedication, or they do not know their part of the job properly. Under these circumstances, I would try to reason out the problem if it is sorted out then the team member can continue working, or else he can exit from the team so that the other eligible candidate can come in.
If there is a conflict with the team members the best way is to do proper communication, with the conflicting members to find out the reason for the conflict. I would suggest the team members give suggestions to resolve the issue because within a team it is important each should have the feeling of respect. It would be seen from the point of view of the conflicting team, and take appropriate steps.
The team members are those who have agreed to work together. It is expected that conflict may appear. It is better to inform the team members that instead of creating conflicts, try to avoid it because they are adults, knowledgeable they can sort out or avoid the conflicts. If it becomes out of control then their grievances have to be heard to resolve the conflict.
3. To make the team different from the previous teams. We would go through the achievements and failures of the previous teams. We would try that our team would not repeat the same mistakes. To have the maximum output the team should be motivated and have good knowledge about their task. We should be able to take quick and correct decisions at the right moment. The team should not develop conflict. Honesty, dedication and the team spirit is the focal point of success and it can distinguish our team from the previous teams.
