Emotional Intelligence and Working With Teams

Emotional intelligence is defined as “the ability to perceive and express emotions, to use emotions to facilitate thinking, to understand and reason with emotions, and to effectively manage emotions within oneself and in relationships with others.” (Northouse, 2016, p. 28). After reading and reviewing this text and other Learning Resources on emotional intelligence, describe an experience of working with a leader who had high emotional intelligence. As a team member, what did you see as the impact this leader had on your team? Have you also had the experience of working with a leader who had low emotional intelligence? What was the impact on you as a team member? Share examples from your experiences that support your perspectives on both high emotional intelligence and low emotional experience.

Emotional intelligence is a like a key for an leader,which helps him to control his team members well,bec beca if an leader has emotional intelligence his team members gets attached with him emotionally ans whatever work he will give them they will do that with full will,and no work frustration will be there,and productivity will be ultimately improved.because a emotionally intelligent leader always go with his emotions but intellegently ,so team members will able to find that he is a good guy who always back us and support us,he is aware of our problems,our strengths and weakness and according to that he distribute the work among us,so whatever work will be givem to them they will do that with their full potential...thank you.
