Project plan is a detailed document that describes the design and implementation of the project. It helps to have control on the project tasks. It includes project scope and objectives so that all the stakeholders know what the project is about. It provides a direction for the stakeholders.

There is so much misinformation about project plan because it might not be communicated effectively to the stakeholders. In other words, the activities and tasks in a project plan might be misinterpreted or not communicated effectively. The project team members need to have clear cut instructions on how to proceed in a project. The project plan which does not have defined scope and objectives, then this might lead to lot of misinformation. The project team members might understand the tasks from a different connotation. It is essential that project management plan is clearly defines each aspect of the project in order to ensure there is no scope creep and misinformation which eventually leads to failure of the projects or the projects’ deliverables are not achieved as per the objectives.
