Answer #1

There are lots of enzyme doing their chemical reaction in a blood cell.

The pH of blood cell is within from 7.35 to 7.45 .

We know that enzyme works within in certain range of pH called optimum pH. So, if pH is decreased from 7.35 to 2.5 , then it means the pH is far from optimum pH for enzyme in blood cell. Hence, in this case, enzyme will lose its activity and rate of reaction will decrease.

Correct option is : (B) Decrease immediately

They noticed that most of the bacteria were lysed, but a few survived. Gregor hypothesized that the bacteriophage induced the resistance in the cells, while Barbara hypothesized that the resistant mutants probably already existed. To test this, they seeded E. coli onto a petri dish which grew 10 colonies, and...

please help QUESTION 1 When transforming bacterial cells, a researcher is interested in generating bacteria that exogenously express the gene that encodes GFP (green fluorescent protein). After transformation, she finds that no bacteria colonies grew on her selective media. Which of the following best explains the results of her transformation protocol? The concentration of the antibiotics in the selection media was too low, therefore no bacteria grew. Her bacterial cells were not competent so they took up excessive amounts of...
