Answer #1

Bronchial tubes are lined by ciliated, pseudostratified columnar epithelium (respiratory epithelium) and are with goblet cells which are similar in trachea.

The walls of bronchi are even similarly supported by hyaline cartilage and smooth muscle. The smooth muscle of airways causes bronchoconstriction, narrowing of the airway lumen.

The ciliated pauedo olumnar epithelium involves cilia whose ciliary beating sweeps and dust it carries over epithelial surface. Goblet cells produce mucous to protect the mucous membrane. They help to ooze out foreign materials that come under their way in the respiratory tract.
