Roles of oestrogen, in the development of osteoporosis is as follows:

1. Oestrogen is female sex hormone that is essential to female bone health.

2.Oestrogen promotes the activity of osteoblasts ,these are the cells that produce bone.

3.when level of Oestrogen drop during menopause ,the osteoblasts are not able to effectively produce bone.

Roles of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in the development of osteoporosis is as follows:

1. parathyroid hormone (PTH) increases bone formation and thereby improves bone density and bone strength in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.

2. parathyroid hormone (PTH) raises the blood calcium level by breaking down the bone and causing calcium release. increasing the body's ability to absorb calcium from food.

3.If there is overproduction of parathyroid hormone (PTH) causes our bones to release calcium more constantly into the blood stream. This causes the bones to lose their density and hardness.this loss of calcium from bones is called as osteoporosis.

Roles of vitamin D in the development of osteoporosis is as follows:

1.Vitamin D is important in for healthy bone & it reduces the development of osteoporosis.
