In a drag race, drivers must wait until the greenlight is illuminated before they can move their vehicle. Explain why a time delay exists, based on the information presented in this exercise.
It is the reaction time of humans compared with the anticipated green signal. The transmission brake delay timer (delay box) makes the car to hold still at the start line, even if you apply high engine power. The reaction time denotes the time taken from the final yellow signal. .500 reaction time denotes a perfect green light & under .500 reaction time denotes the car moved prior to the green light. The driver would be disqualified if he commits a foul start (starting before green light). The cars may have different performance power & still they can compete at an even basis. The expected E.T (elapsed time) for both the cars are compared, & the car which is slow gets a head start equivalent to the difference of both.
hope the answer helps.

Raw data, like that collected above, must normally be processed before it can be used in diagnosis or state recognition. In our case we want to design a system that wltell us if the muscle is flexed or relaxed based on the EMG reading. This can be done with the three-stage system, shown below Stage 2 Rectify (Absolute value of signal) Stage 3 Envelope (Smooth out into shape outline) Stage 1 Remove DC Center at y 0) Stagel: For stage...
After Title VII was enacted, the country started out with such severe race issues that it was not until later that the fine-tuning of looking at color discrimination came along—even though the color issues had been around as long as race had. Be aware that while we tend to be faced with race discrimina- tion where the discriminator is one race and the discriminatee another, with color discrimination that is not necessarily the case. Often the discrimination is by people...

Introduction: In the greater Seattle-Tacoma area, an arms race continues between hospitals to gather the most modern technology available to use on their patients - currently this arms race's primary device of choice-robotic surgical systems. Why robotic surgical systems? These systems in theory allow surgeons to be more precise in performing complex surgical procedures on patients. With greater precision comes a greater chance of successfully healing the patient as well as reducing the patient's possibility for complications and recovery time....
