Text messaging along with IM’s emails and social media used in a workplace represents the use of informal means of communication, allowing the company the ability to make better use of their processes by the workforce by allowing them a more direct, quick and free mode of communication which solves a number of different problems of communication, relaying of information and other specific functions throughout the selected communication channels. We can say that a number of different processes need quick actions and response, therefore, direct communication mode such as text messages allows the team members, the line level workers as well as the leaders to be in contact with their peers, making the process of understanding easier for everybody. Leaders can especially make good use of text messages in order to create their processes in such a way that allows them to better cater to the needs of their teams since the team members can reach them much more easily with the use of text messages and therefore, it can enable a better understanding in the minds of the leaders, for their subordinates, allowing them a much more in-depth decision-making process which benefits their relationship with that of their subordinates.
