Briefly explain why bacteria are a great model to study genetics?
BACTERIA are of great use when it comes to genetics, bacterial genetics is one of the highlighted topic in today ,it attaract lots of scientist concentration, various research are done by scientist in order to know the genetics mechanism of bacteria.Due to its genetic material,it is of great use.Bacterial cell are different from eukaryotic cell in terms of membrane bound organelles, bacterial cell does not contain membrane bound organelles.bacteria serve as a good model for animal genetics study.Bacteria also show breeding like a true cell and form its copy, bacterial cell use in genetic engineering .Till now ,there is a controversy in terms of bacterial nucleus. Due to its importance in verious sectors ,it is of great importance.bacteria are use to cure a lots of diseases, they are used to produce large amount of protein for industrial use,it is very clear that bacteria is a great model to study genetics due to its reproducing nature similar to normal cells it also make the copy of genetic material.there is a branch called bacterial genetics ,it is the study of how genetic information passed from bacteria to its offspring .Not only in industry, bacteria are also used for chemical and food purpose, many of our food such as sourdoughtbread, vinegar, sauerkraut and many more are processed by specific kind of bacteria.we human being use these bacteria are used to gnerate lots of chemicals.bacteria are also used to manufacture lots of medicine .Bacteria are essential in all life forms-they are also used in decomposers(breakdown compound for sewage treatment and to clean the environment),they are also act as nitrozen fixers in most of plant,E.coli used to make vitamins in intestine in human being. So there are number of list of bacterial use ,due to these numerous advantage of bacteria ,they are used highly in genetics.

Briefly describe why natural selection results in bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. How does this relate to the characteristics of life?
Mutations are heritable changes in DNA. They are essential to the study of genetics and are useful in many other biological fields. How are mutations used to help in understanding basic biological processes? What is the SOS system and how does it lead to an increase in mutations? What is the purpose of the Ames test? How are his- bacteria used in this test?
