Answer #1

Geoscientists can do some of the following things in locating and cleaning up contaminants in the soil and groundwater:

  • By not allowing mining activities in the populated zones.
  • By not allowing the release of toxins in the water sources.
  • By not using the fertilizers more than required in the agricultural fields.
  • Most importantly, by not allowing plastics to put in landfills or stop it completely close to the population zone.
  • To analyze the groundwater sources and aware people to not drink if the water is contaminated and many more.

Geoscientists play a powerful role in locating and cleaning up contaminations in the soil and groundwater if they provide information to the people as well as by suggesting to the government to not do mining activities, landfills, etc, in the populated zone. All this information makes the people aware and makes the government alert to make the soil and groundwater clean.

The presence of these sources are available throughout the earth seems to be more interesting as well as confusing also because it makes us confuse to do these activities like mining, landfills in which part of the world.
