The curtain call functions as an important convention in the drama.

Curtain call is also known as the walk down or the final bow, which would occur at a performance's end, where the characters or the actors would return to the stage and are recognized by the audience as an applaud to their performance. For the actors or the individuals, curtain calls are much more than only bows. Earlier, the actors and the performers used to work hard for for these applauds, and hence this hard work was equally appreciated by acknowledging with standing ovations. These standing ovations, though now are mere courtesy, but in the initial days of theatre was supposed to be earned and worked hard for. Hence, curtain call had been an important convention in drama,
