Therefore, research proposals should explore new issues or new ways to solve old problems. Assume the role of HR in a MNC.

One major issue faced by HR professionals is that the entire HR department is seen mostly as a support function and it needs to impact the bottom line by creating powerful business case. In order to do so HR department needs to utilize the HR data available to them to create strong case studies. Research is required to understand the correlation of the HR data to the business outcome using tools of HR Analytics.

One example to highlight is that, recently in a business case study it was revealed that the participation of women workforce in top levels of management was a dwindling 10.9% among the world 500 companies. This is an eye opener since it does not only highlight gender bias (intentional or unintentional) but also highlights the issue on the probable negative impact to organizations if the female population do not contribute at top level. There has not been comprehensive reports on how female workforce can bring a change in the profitability of the companies. Hence a research in this field will help us to understand the underlying objectives:

• Understanding the risk to companies if there are less female participation in workforce
• Quantitatively defining the impact of women workforce to the profitability of the company
• Understanding the qualitative aspect of the contribution of female employees in workplace
• Highlighting the primary reasons for less participation of women in workforce and proposing ways to mitigate the risk
