(b) If the cup of coffee is subsequently spilled by your classmate as he arrived late for class over the entire surface of the desk which happens to measure 1.75 m by 0.5 m, what is the new average normal stress created assuming that all 500g is evenly applied (ignore the stress created by the liquid as it splashes over your brand new laptop)?
