range = 45.5 m

projection angle, theta = 24.5 degree

Range = vo^2 * sin(2 * theta)/g

45.5 = v0^2 * sin(2 * 24.5 degree)/9.8

solving for v0

v0 = 24.3 m/s

the initial speed of the ball is 24.3 m/s
