Influence of daylength on male hamster sexual behavior: Masking effects of testosteroneExposure of male hamsters to short photoperiods for 6–8 weeks causes deficits in sexual behavior with receptive females. The present experiment tested the hypothesis that short photoperiodic effects on behavior could be masked in the presence of chronic and stable levels of testosterone. Sexual behavior was tested 18 days later as the effects of this functional castration developed. These tests indicated that photoperiodic effects were much more obvious in the absence of testosterone than they were during week 7 tests when testosterone was still present. The behavior of the males that were transferred from one photoperiod to the other demonstrated that exposure to the short photoperiod for only 18 days was not sufficient to generate short photoperiod-like sexual behavior deficits. In contrast, exposure to the long photoperiod for 18 days was sufficient to reverse short photoperiodic effects that had already developed.

summarizr the followung info and write them in your own words and break them into different key points. 6.5 Metering Chamber: 6.5.1 The minimum size of the metering box is governed by the metering area required to obtain a representative test area for the specimen (see 7.2) and for maintenance of reasonable test accuracy. For example, for specimens incorporating air spaces or stud spaces, the metering area shall span an integral number of spaces (see 5.5). The depth of...
Read the information before each question, then answer the question right there. Don't read ahead. I want you to think about each set of information and what that means at the time. Your first impressions might be different as new information is presented. That is to be expected as patients exhibit new signs and symptoms, and new information from the laboratory or other sources becomes available. Before beginning the design of an apparatus meeting this standard, the designer shall review the discussion on the limitations and accuracy, Section 13, discussions of the energy flows in a hot box, Annex A2, the metering box wall loss flow, Annex A3, and flanking loss, Annex...
10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
