You will be using the fictional manufacturing facility Acme Automotive Parts (AAP) throughout the course. AAP manufactures several support parts for new automobiles as a small supplier to Nissan, Honda, and Volkswagen facilities in the United States. Their processes include shipping/receiving, hydraulic presses, metal working lines, robotic welding stations, hand-welding stations in rework areas, two small paint booths, a quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) laboratory, and a final inspection area.

For this unit please answer the following question:

Choose one area of the AAP plant. Summarize the steps you would take on an initial visit to the plant to complete the recognition of hazard tasks associated with that area of the plant.

Let discuss the safety risk involved in the paint booths, Which need recognition

1. Labeling : Label all the chemicals which are placed in the paint kitchen and which are used inside the paint booth, so that confusion during process can be minimized and which can prevent major accident.

2.Protective Equipment : There should be well availability of protective equipment and Task force should use those equipments seriously during the work process.

3. Storage : Paint booth should be located far away form Electric Circuits boards or main electrical controller or any source which can initiate spark and which can lead to fire.

4. Cleanliness : Working floor and paint booth should be clean and should properly follow the "5S"

5.Authorized entry : Only authentic person having knowledge about the chemical and its use, should allow to enter in the paint kitchen where paints are stored.

6.Proper Ventilation: Proper ventilation of paint fumes to be present which can pull out all the fumes in painting booth to external surrounding and no fumes to spread outside the booth where other work in going on.

7.Restriction to storage : Only minimal amount of chemicals to be stored in paint booth and other in well maintained and closed specific store rooms.

8.Fire Exist : There should be a fire exist and fire control system , which can minimize risk of damage during fire and easy exit of the work force to escape out safely
