1. Yes, I shall recall one of my experience with respect to oppression which was witnessed by me towards one of my colleagues of the same age at the immigration department. Myself and my colleague Mrs.X are expatriates. Both of us draw the same salary and work in the same company. We both came to immigration office for doing procedures as to sponsor our spouse. My application was accepted as everything matched with the terms and conditions of embassy. However my colleague’ s application got rejected. The reason being insufficient salary. This was the act of oppression which let me down when two candidates of opposite sex were treated differently with respect to availing similar service by the same governing authority.

2. Both adultism and ageism play significant role with respect to oppression or oppressive acts. This Is because adults feel that every action done by them are right and have the power enough to rule people who are below their age and children. They also act in a manner as to teach the children the difference between moral and immoral acts by oppressing acts of children which are found morally unfair. Ageism on the other hand performs oppression by highlighting the wisdom through experience they have attained in life over past years. Oppression by aged population is found very common among Asian countries were the values and thoughts of aged people are given high priority than the younger ones.
