Answer #1

Genetic genealogy (family history) is an ancestry testing & genetic analysis method for individuals who want to find their ancestry history beyond what's available. Genetic genealogy is an excellent tool for people wishing for a family research.

The disadvantages are : privacy concerns, accuracy of the test, genetic discrimination. When we share of genetic details with a company, our privacy could be at risk. There is very less chance of any privacy breach, but it's still possible. Our DNA Is our identity, if it falls into the wrong hands then it can be a serious problem for us. It is reported that the DNA samples collected could be used against us in the future for surveillance & discrimination. Some other cons are, the laws that are supposed to protect our privacy are not strong enough. Also there is a chance of changes in company regulations & statements.

The advantages are, as mentioned above, genetic genealogy is a efficient tool for ancestry research. It's very accurate and reliable. Many people are happy and have changes their lives because of genetic genealogy.

hope the answer helps.
