Worldview refers to the way a person thinks what the world is, how the world operates and where in the world he/she fits in. Since this forms the basis for our thinking process, our worldview impacts the way we think in our daily life. This also impacts our overall critical thinking ability and process.

For example, let’s consider that in our personal life we view the world as a systematic organization of people across different timelines. This would mean that our critical thinking process is systematic. In personal life this imply that our life should follow a specific steps of processes and thus after school, we must begin working, then get married, and settle down. This is how we would likely expect and view our personal life to be.

If we tend to be agnostic in our world view and have a confusing concept of who we are and where we belong, in professional life we could experience multiple job switches. This is because of our critical thinking process since we are not really sure about our world view, it is likely that our professional career would be confused too with a confused critical thinking process.

Overall, our worldview forms the basis of our cognitive ability. It can make us emotional, logical, pragmatic, or any other type of person based on our world view and thus will impact our personal and professional life accordingly.
