Let’s think about electrocution!!! You were out partying with one of your electrical engineering student friends. Towards the end of the party, your “BFF” thought he was doing you a favor and wired up a standard duplex outlet for your apartment. Unfortunately, he did not follow the National Electric Code. (U.S. standards) when “helping” wiring your apartment. Your “BFF”, made four errors, three of which could potentially electrocute you!
(a) Describe the four errors and explain how you must fix them. You can mark up the diagram appropriately or provide a separate series of diagrams.
(b) Identify the three potentially fatal errors and explain why they could lead to your electrocution (Be sure your tuition is paid up).
(c) Your friend decides to plug in a lamp. Will the lamp work? (YES, NO, PARTIAL INTENSITY, EXPLODE) Circle your choice and explain your answer.
SOLUTION::
B)
The 3 fatal errors has been mentioned above 4 fatal errors.
1--) Here in this case with out proper ground connection .there will be a leakage current which the current flow in the outer conductor of circuit (or) device, when human touches it, they get electocuted..
2--) Here by interchanging the ground , phase and nuetral, the current path changes and damages the circuit or may get elctrolite the person.
3--) Here,Due to improper insulation of the live, nuetral and ground one may get electrocut when they touch the wires.
C) I am not criticising the person who got F grade in the circuit course, with the only knowledge of theoritical clars
the may not light up the lamp , as he is weak in the connection, such that the current cannot pass through the circuit
SO. I THINK LAMP WILL NOT ON...
please give me like..its help me to write more questions ..thank you
