Therefore are many types of employee benefits; some are legally required and some benefits employers give at their wish to attract and retain their employees.

Legally required benefits -

• Unemployment Insurance
• Workers’ Compensation Insurance
• Family and Medical Leave
• Disability Insurance

The benefits required by law are mandated to insure basic income safety and medical care to workers and their families at the time of adversity resulting from work loss and disability due to work.

In my opinion none of the above benefits should be waived as are meant to lessen the difficulties of employees at adverse time.

One additional benefit that should be made into a legally required benefit is life insurance benefits. The employees should compulsorily get life insurance benefit. This will help to improve the life of many individuals and their dependents.
