There was a situation wherein the management had decided to implement the working of employees on new software for updating of certain information which were the regular duty of employees. The employees earlier used the Microsoft excel for doing this and was habituated of using it. However, I was not given time to prepare my time and thus I had to do this in any ways. So I called immediate meeting of my team and made them understand the situations and made them feel part of these decisions and change. They after clarification stayed in the office for late night and learned the various aspects of software working and soon adapted to this new change.
Lesson I learned from my leadership skill is that to lead the change, I have to make sure the employees trust me so that they can rely on me. The employee shall be given confidence, motivation and directions to achieve even what sounds impossible initially. The employee shall be made feel that they are part of any decisions and their actions are required for company success.
