A songwriter or composer is the creator of a work, which is a song, score or other musical composition. A publisher, on the other hand, is an individual or company that owns or administers the copyright of a work.

In this context, the type of business relationship which can be happened are-

Managing relationship-

In this relationship, The publisher act as manager of the songwriter. Publisher administer all of the songs or composition of songwirter so that profit can be maximum for both songwriter and publisher.

Business partner relationship-

In this relationship, both songwriter and publisher can be business partner in which both will share profit. for example- songwriter will write songs and publsiher will help to publish and administer the song. the profit will be shared based on consent.

Agency relationship-

Agency relationship in which songwriter will act as principal and publisher will act as agency to promote and sell of songs of songwriter.
