Communications between the devices are meaningful to common users in a sense that it helps them simplify various day-to-day tasks. Some of the common example could be fire alarms, door locking system, automatic switching of lights etc. These examples come under simple IoT based application. There are major impacts that could be done by IoT when dealing with the higher end technologies. IoT involves in sensing, actuating, collecting, processing and storing of data. Thus, IoT in medical tourism industry in a smart city will have these impacts that could be handled for several applications such as citizen observatory, tourism management, medicine management.The term Medical Tourism originated because of the faster development of medical industry by allowing patients to travel anywhere globally for medical purpose. The patients or tourists under health tourism is considered as a sub-group. Medical services integrated with medical tourism provides medical services for patients and tourism services simultaneously. This technology paved way for companies to expand their applications and projects in the 21^st century.

There is a huge impact in patient satisfaction with the generation and the management of medical tourism. Based in the time and situation, the patient satisfaction has several dimensions. Due to the improper implementations of rules and regulations, there is a chance of disapproval among companies to fully implement medical tourism globally since every country has its own rules and regulations for deploying medical tourism services. With time the IoT will become a building block of every medical tourism industry, which will cause a shift to a pull-based economy, where the medical services will be driven by a real-time demand and tourism products that are tailor-made according to the individual patients. This flexibility in medical tourism is currently unimaginable, but the IoT based medical tourism will allow for much higher level of agility and adjust ability that will ultimately shift the medical tourism industry from product-oriented to customer-oriented.
