Charge Q is uniformly distributed inside a sphere of radius R.

(a) Determine the electric field inside and outside the sphere. Explain how you arrive at the answer.

(b) A cavity of radius R/4, and centered at a point a distance R/2 from the center of the sphere, is made within the sphere. This means that within the sphere of radius R, there is a smaller sphere of radius R/4 which has no charge (the charge density is zero within the sphere of radius R/4). Find the electric field inside the cavity.
