Software Engineering:
Organize the project participants into teams of four people.
Each team has the following resources available: 2
eggs, 1 role of TESA film, 1 role of toilet paper, a cup with
water, a bucket with two liters of sand, 20 foam balls
(each about 1 cm diameter), 1 table whose surface is about 1 meter
above the ground. Each team has 25
minutes time to build and test an artifact that allows an egg to be
released 75 cm above the table such that the
egg falls on the table without cracking. Each team has another 5
minutes to demonstrate the artifact to project
management.
So here we can see that this is a exercise where we require to build a team. Here it that instructs the groups of individuals who are unknown to each other have to work together and then identify each individuals strengths. This helps us to understand that certain problems are better solved in a collaborative environment.
As we all know Problem solving is the ability to work on problems by using thinking skills to arrive at a solution. In the workplace teams have to solve problems every single day.It improves the chances of coming up with the best solution or result. When people work together they can share and compare ideas and choose the one that best solves the problem. There is usually more than one solution to every problem.
The process to solve a problem we need to follow as below
1. Find the problem
2. Define the problem
3. Describe the problem
4. Diagnose the problem
5. Test the diagnosis
When working in a team, it can be easier to better understand the goals and objectives of the problem at hand. Like here we have the limited resources. So every member of the team will have same purpose . The purpose becomes easy to target, with all eyes focusing on build and test an best artifact . Of course, arguments can arise over what to focus on, but typically, most individuals of a group will recognize what needs to be solved, and will gravitate towards that topic.
Such exercises are done at the beginning of a project to form
teams.
And at last the team who shows the best team work and provides the
best solution with each individuals efforts.

Holistic Health Systems (HHS) operates 39 hospital facilities
and clinics. The executive team has been reviewing key metrics over
the last year and identified a need to improve Point of Service
Collections or simply known as POS (pronounced “P-O-S”). POS is a
patient payment that is received within 7 days after discharge.
Increasing POS is important for HHS because hospitals are 60% less
likely to receive payment once the patient leaves the hospital. The
cost to collect on the patient’s...
