Explain why businesses and entrepreneurs are more likely to voluntarily undertake the projects that consumers value highly relative to price and less likely to undertake the government-sponsored projects in which the per-unit cost of production is above the price consumers willingly pay.
Solution-
Whenever the product is valued more than its price, it is more likely that it's demand is more and consumers are willing to buy that product. As long as consumer's willingness to pay is higher than the price charged by the producers, they will be having some consumer surplus. Positive consumer surplus would attract the consumers to buy the products.
Due to more demand of a product, all the products will be sold and the producers will not be left with inventory stock. They will also a acquire some profits if the prices are set higher than the average cost of the product.
The second case is not at all feasible for a business/producer.As the cost per unit of a product, that is average cost is higher than the price, the producers are going to acquire losses. Though the government sponsores those projects but due to probable losses in such projects, producers / business are unwilling to undertake such projects.

1.- How does an entrepreneur decide whether to supply a good? Will entrepreneurs continue to supply a good or service if consumers are unwilling to pay a price sufficient to cover the per-unit cost? 2. Incentives matter. The marginal cost of additional food is lower at all-you-can-eat buffets since they don't charge for a second helping of food. c. Why are valuations of privatized businesses previously owned by the governments of developing countries more difficult than valuations of existing firms in developed countries? Some MNCs establish a manufacturing facility where there is a relatively low cost of labor. Yet, they sometimes close the facility later because the cost advantage dissipates. Why do you think the relative cost advantage of these countries is reduced over time? (Ignore possible exchange rate effects.) The reduction in expected cash flows of Asian subsidiaries...
Use the Law of Demand to explain why all consumers must receive a surplus whenever they purchase more than one unit of a product but may receive no surplus if only one unit is bought. Make up a numerical example to illustrate. Provide two reasons why consumer surplus must increase when the price of a product falls? Explain fully why taxing a product leads to deadweight loss. Use appropriate graphs to explain why the deadweight loss is greater the more...

But, is price discrimination bad?
