Answer #1

Heterocyst are cyanobacteria cells which fix nitrogen they also have nitogenase enzyme which can help fix nitrogen.

Bacteriods are found in roots of legumes plants . The rhizobium bacteria which is normally free living in symbiotic association with root now is called as bacteriods . They are modified to fix nitrogen they are sensitive to oxygen they depend on root for food. They can reproduce or have ability to divide.

Heterocyst cannot divide by itself as it is a part of cyanobacteria cells
