Answer #1

Stages:

First person (Central Narrator)

When you read Malcom X’s story the choice of first narrator was deliberate. Its almost like Malcom X is sitting in front us telling his life story. But for real he is sitting in front of Alex Haley. He draws his past and present understanding.

Autobiography ( Genre )

The autobiography is the result of 50 interviews between Malcom X and Alex Haley, that occured between 1963 and 1965. This is not just a factual account of Malcom’s Life. Alex Haley got a turn at creating the Malcolm he saw and heard.

Mood (Tone)

The autobiography of Malcom is supposed to be an intimate look into his life. Just like his powerful speeches, Malcom does not shy away to discuss controversial topics. This autobiography is a serious and sometimes humorously written. We get to see his inner softness and humanity in his tone of expression.

The Ending

Instead of making it feel like a story, at the end he turns more practical. He even predicts his death after this. We kind of get that feeling that his assumptions were all right and he hoped and thanked that he Could atleast help tiny bit of people. Malcom ends up in jail. This has to be the most emotional state for us.
