F ( freckles) is dominant over absence of freckles (f).

Laura has freckles, therefore, her genotype can be Ff or FF

charlie does not have freckles ,therefore, his genotype must be ff

Their daughter elaine does not have freckles which means her genotype is ff

In order for elaine to be ff genotype she must recieve one copy of f from father and one from mother laura.

charlie has the genotype ff and can pass on one f allele to his daughter

Therefore genotype of laura should be Ff

Ff x ff

gametes of laura: F and f

gametes of charlie: f

offsprings: Ff ( freckles) and ff ( no freckles)
