Cancer develop due to unregulated replication of cells. Normally cell replication is tightly regulated by several genes that promote or inhibit cell division/replication by several genes called as proto oncogenes and oncogenes. When mutation occurs in these group of genes then their function is impaired. This will lead to unregulated replication of cell and cell will thus divide without any inhibition. This will lead to development of cancer.
