Normally there are three degrees of freedom a shoulder joint can have.The three degrees of freedom are Shoulder Flexion,Shoulder Extension and Shoulder Abduction.

Shoulder Flexion -This movement occurs in Saggital Plane and the normal range for Shoulder Flexion is 180degree.

Shoulder Abduction - This movement occurs in Frontal plane and the normal range for shoulder Abduction is around 150 degree in a healthy joint.
