Answer #1

The answer:

When an employee has an alcohol-related problem, employees demonstrate the indicative behavior in the workplace. As a manager, one needs to identify the behavior to ensure productivity and level of motivation in the workplace. There are three stages of alcoholism, and employees at each stage reflect different behavior. Three stages are early stage, middle stage, and advanced stage. The observable behaviors in the early stage are missed deadlines, errors in judgment, poor efficiency. The employees in the first stage work slowly and show tardiness in the work. Moreover, these employees usually leave work early. The employees in the middle stage reflect behaviors such as lack of attention, anxiety, and social contact avoidance. Due to the effect of alcohol, such employees are vulnerable to workplace injury. The behavior of such employees changes frequently and the employees take leaves for vague reasons. The employees in stage 3, i.e. advance stage, are vulnerable to the violence and outbursts. The observable behaviors in this stage are frequent accidents, incompetent performance, and unsteady walk.

Many teenagers participate in risk behaviors that threaten their current and future health. Substance use, violence, and unprotected sexual intercourse are responsible for much of the mortality and morbidity experienced in adolescence and early adulthood.1 While older adults are vulnerable to illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, adolescents are threatened by homicide, suicide, car accidents, and AIDS — ailments that are behavioral and, therefore, preventable.2 There is growing recognition that teens who engage in risk behaviors often participate...
