Answer #1

Coca-cola is one of the leading multinational companies, which is most famous for its carbonated soft drinks. The recipe of coca-cola is one of the most secret recipes ever crafted. This particular American multinational company has an annual net profit of around 1,248 million Dollars. However, there has been a rapid fall in the no.of employees working for coca-cola. As per reports, 100,300 employees worked for coca-cola in 2016 which was followed by 61800 employees in the next year. For analyzing such a trend, we need to go through the career management system of the company. Before that, let us look at the organizational structure. The company has a matrix organizational structure in which division is done, both on the basis of differentiation as well as region of the globe to be covered. There is adequate decentralization in the company and scope for good career growth. The whole procedure of recruitment is done in a very systematic way. The company, in search of fresh talent, gives more priority to youngsters. Online applications will be invited from the candidates, which will be followed by testing, screening, group discussion/presentation, interview, and finally job offer. However, retention of the employees is not stable since statistics show that there have been extreme vacillations in the employee turnover of the company. However, the relationship between the company and its employees is quite healthy. The employees are provided with attractive emoluments and incentives. Besides, the company has additional developmental plans for the employees such as healthy food, good working conditions, etc. But still as compared to other multinational companies in a similar line, Coca-cola has a long way to go. The main issue that the human resource of the Coca-cola company face is the inconsistency of its aims with that of the requirements of the employees. Employees are just considered as a resource to tackle competition. But still, the career management policies offered by the company help at least a few employees. It provides a learning opportunity to the employees through Coca-Cola University(CCU) which provides an avenue for personal and career-related growth. Employees are also provided with various assignments and personal appraisal for their individual progress.
