You are in charge of warehouse operations responsible for storing holiday ornaments. Upon your work analysis, you found that you would be short of 300 seasonal employees to meet the customers demand. You have about 60 days to ensure that your operation is ready to go. Explain in detail the steps you would take in addressing and fixing this issue

Steps to resolve the issue.

(a) Identify the cause of shortage of labour. They might not have been paid sufficient wages, or the profession includes some health hazards or the employees have found other lucrative source of income.

(b) address the cause by finding solutions. If the wages need to be increased, or work conditions need to be improved, or new labour markets are to be identified.

(c) analysing the pros and cons with each alternative. assign weights to each one of those.

(d) Selecting the right alternative ( more than one can be chosen if need arises) by analysing the cost, time, effectiveness and other analysis.

(e) Implement the right alternative(s) either one after the other or simultaneously.
