Eating disorder is a mental disorder of unhealthy eating habits which adversity affects both the mental and physical health of the individual . there are two types

1 Binge disorder : people had large amount of food in a short period of time

2 anorexia nervosa : people had less amount of food

there are no typical evidence or reason for developing the disorder . but cultural influence plays a role in this . peer pressure there is a cultural bias on thinness , and this become the status symbol especially this influenced by the American society .sports persons also suffered with this kind of disorders and the percentage is given below

• Weight dependent sports: 29%
• Endurance sports : 20%
• Technical sports :14%
• Ball game sports _12%

Social isolation also might be a reason for developing the disorder , isolation is a stressful situation and the people starts to eat as to comfort themselves. this may lead to overweight and functional impairment , early death.
