One storey building with 3m height is supported by three columns where two columns have pinned-end support and one column has fixed-end support. The distance between two columns is 4m. The mass of the structure can be idealized as 190 kg/m lumped at the roof level. All columns have I = 3.53 x 10^8 mm^4 and E + 200GPa.

Determine the vibration frequency of the building. (Take g = 9.81 m/s^2).

If a new building is to be constructed with the same vibration frequency but in an earthquake prone area, discuss possible modification can be done to increase its stability.
