Identify a situation where you think an organization or brand may have miscommunicated a message to its employees or other stakeholders. Perhaps management made a change in processes and did not communicate the change or the reason for the change to employees at all levels. When describing the scenario, identify the specific problems and issues that should be addressed with communications, and explain why the issue is substantial enough to warrant communication
When communication goes wrong the consequences might be devastating especially in large companies and organisations. A wrong message does severe damage as wrong assumptions will be made and hence the total scenario goes wrong. For example in a recent situation the rules for filing income tax returns have been changed and new rules require some new identity proofs to be included in the form. However if the people do not have these new proofs they might submit some extra documents and file the returns. Due to some technical error only the first part of the message is communicated to the employees who assumed that whoever does not have these proofs cannot file for the returns and hence they started rejecting many applications which later became a huge problem and people proceeded legally. This is due to lack of proper communication and understanding. The management must have explained the employees the new rules and must have sent emails and messages to everyone personally . This issue led to many people loosing their chance of filing for returns and hence much loss has been incurred which makes the situation substantial enough to warrant communication.
