Operation manager is related to operations and processes are done in an organization which operations managers manager these operations to maximize the profit and minimize the cost of business. for this they have to take some decisions in relation of operations management which are-

for example- in Car assembly plant the manager of operations will make decision related to-

what type and how much resources are required because operations managers responsible for manufacturing and operations so they decide the amount of inventory for car manufacturing as it include huge cost of production.

they take decisions related to quality of supplies and final products like they implement TQM or six sigma or lean manufacturing in organization to improve quality of product and reduce cost of business.

operations manager take decision regarding work schedules of workers in shifts as manager wants which is best for production and design work methods for workers so that productivity in manufacturing car or any other product will improve.

Operations manager take decision type of machine required and location required and how layout of plant should be to increase productivity and reduce cost, accidents in production.like how cars should be manufactured and how the process should be and from where to start and which part of car should god first and which should go at end etc.
