The training design process has seven steps in the developing training program. Step one is conducting a needs assessment, next is ensuring employees' readiness training, creating a learning environment, developing an evaluation plan, ensuring transfer of training, selecting training method, and monitoring and evaluating the programs. Of the seven steps, I believe that conducting a needs assessment is the most important training process. Conducting a needs assessment is important because it consist of organizational analysis, personal analysis, and task analysis. "Step 1 (conducting a needs assessment) is a needs assessment, which is necessary to identify whether training is needed" (Noe, 2017, p. 10). I feel without conducting an assessment first, the furthest you could get in the design process would be Step 2. You can ensure the employees’ training and readiness, but you would not be able to help the employees reach their goals or objectives without doing a personal assessment first.
