Income of a person depends on his/her qualification, experience, and skill. Suppose a doctor must have higher pay package than a clerk in the office; this is the honor of higher qualification that is possessed by the doctor; if there is no such segregation of income, nobody can chase for higher qualification and the society may not get doctors, lawyers, engineers, research fellow, etc. Now, this is can easily understood how the society would suffer in absence of these professionals and scholars.
