As the blood of the mother with type A⁺ blood mixes with the blood of the baby with type A^{​​​​​​_} the release of antigens by the mother's body due to the entry of child's blood this condition is called as erythroblastosis fetalis.   

It is hemolytic anemia in the fetus(orneonate,as erythroblastosis neonatorum) caused by transplacental transmission of maternal antibodies to fetal red blood cells. The disorder usually results from incompatibility between maternal and fetal blood groups, often Rho(D) antigens

Erythroblastosis fetalis is also called hemolytic disease. Babies develop this condition before they are born. Erythroblastosis fetalis occurs when you and your baby have different blood types. When your baby's blood mixes with your blood during pregnancy, your immune system reacts by making antibodies against it.
