Does the imine compound decompose in only acidic medium?

I performed reaction between dialdehyde compound with amino compound to obtain C=N, imine compound upon condensation

The imine compound in a dried form was reacted with metal precursor to build a framework compound, but on building the framework HCl is produced and present inside the pores of the framework. I ask does the liberated HCl affect the chemical stability of the framework by attacking the C=N bond within the framework backbone?
